Steven Ballantyne is an Operating Partner at Banneker Partners, focusing on driving operational excellence and value creation. Mr. Ballantyne has extensive experience in managing both software and manufacturing companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Profitsolv, a legal practice management roll-up, managing the business’s strategic and operational aspects. Before Profitsolv, he was Chief Operating Officer at Watermark, where he played a key role in integrating six portfolio companies, forming the go-to-market strategy, and managing post-customer acquisition teams.
Before his tenure at Watermark, Mr. Ballantyne was Chief of Staff and Vice President of Product Strategy and Operations, where he focused on building infrastructure and integrating ten acquisitions that significantly contributed to the business’s successful growth. He began his career in finance and economic development.
Mr. Ballantyne holds a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Davidson College, an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Management. He resides in Washington, DC.
